After my Austria vacation last summer, I became more interested in German-style beer and different styles of beer. Now in order to be a full-fledged beer connoisseur, I had to participate in Oktoberfest, the ultimate destination for beer enthusiasts. Since I live in a major metropolitan area, there are plenty of Oktoberfest events to choose from and the Washingtonian After Hours blog complied all of them in a convenient list. The Washingtonian left off their list the fun Oktoberfest event I went to last fall in Shirlington, Virginia. Fortunately the Capitol Brewing Company is hosting the event again this October 4th.
